First-order layout through aberration and tolerance analysis. Sequential models for visible, NIR, and custom spectral bands.

Published imaging studies cover a smartphone clip-on dermatoscope that stays sharp when the phone is not seated perfectly, an otoscope lens for a 4K sensor, and a toolkit that scores space lenses for image quality and point-source detection. Lens layout may also use Quadoa, OpTaLiX, or LensHH when the scoping note names that tool.

Fixed-fee projects. Scope, deliverables, and price are agreed in writing before work starts.

### Typical problems

- Image quality has to hold when a phone camera sits off center and the barrel, retention, and case stay the same.
- A 4K sensor needs a lens inside a standard ear speculum, with low distortion and a catalog-lens path to a prototype.
- A space lens has to be scored for imaging and for whether the sensor will detect a faint target.
- A tolerance set has to be checked before the design is treated as finished.

### Deliverables

- A native model from the tool named in the scoping note
- Aberration and tolerance results when the scope includes them
- STEP or IGES when the handoff includes geometry
- A written report of assumptions, methods, results, and recommended next steps, for internal review or a vendor RFQ.

Tools: Zemax OpticStudio, Quadoa, LensHH, and OpTaLiX.
